Other Ways to Help

Planned giving offers a flexible way to contribute to the conservation of orangutans. By including The Orangutan Conservancy in your will or estate plan, you can help leave a legacy that will protect the orangutan into the future. Charitable bequests in your will or revocable living trust carry out your wishes for distributing assets to the cause you have supported during your lifetime. Charitable bequests can eliminate or reduce federal estate tax. If you wish to include The Orangutan Conservancy in your estate plan, please contact us.

Fundraisers are easy! Even if you don’t have money to donate to us, you can use your creativity and a little of your time, and raise a bit of money to help orangutans! How about a neighborhood yard sale? A bake sale? Rent yourself out as maid for a day! Draw the attention of friends and relatives to this situation and enlist their support. Maybe your local Girl Scout troop or church group would like to be involved. We’d love to brainstorm with you about ideas.

We are always looking for people to help us with ongoing projects. We are all volunteers, so every person that steps forward is useful to us. We always can use writing/editing assistance, brochure/flyer design, websurfers, fundraisers, grantwriters, etc. Please Note: unfortunately at this time it is not possible to volunteer at any of the projects we support in Indonesia or Malaysia.

Educate others by writing an article for your school paper using information from this website. Are there environmental clubs in your school? Perhaps they would like to join in a fundraiser.
